New Park, Hot Summer

It is seriously hot here in Austin right now, and Henry is taking every chance he can to get wet. Today, he was one of the very first kids to splash through the fountain at the new Town Lake Park. He's also been digging his bathtime and hanging out with his pal Eliana. Check it out.

A Trip to Waco

We Pickles just got back from sunny Waco, Texas, where we visited the Martin Riders. Dave and Jen are doing great. Milo has gotten big, but still looks like a newborn compared to Eli, who is just a straight-up kid now. Henry split the difference between them, but chose to spend most of his time tagging along with Eli, just in case he might learn something. We hit the zoo, went for wagon rides, and hung around in the backyard. Good fun.

In other news, Henry has figured out that he can talk. His vocabulary has already mushroomed to include the following terms (in no particular order):

Mom (alt. "Mom-mom")
Daddy (sometimes also applied to the dog)

Nose
Eye (If he says this near you, protect your eyes. There are fingers coming at you.)

Pee-pee (this is usually accompanied by him grabbing himself)

Kitty (blanket term for all animals and some objects)
